Africans In Space is a 120 minute introductory to West African Cosmology by Ehime Ora featuring Dr. Cesa Salaam. In this lecture-class, students will gain an understanding of indigenous astrology, astronomy, and cosmology amongst pre-colonial West African societies utilizing history and other ancestral sky-tools like lunar months and the ɔkra, the soul. Students will learn how to apply ancestral sky-mapping to their own lives through round-table discussion and integrative journal reflection.
